As we begin a new year, may Jesus, the Light of the World, shine on our paths and in our hearts.

*Faculty, students, Mrs. Turman thank you; the Christmas Program was beautiful. We have so many talented students here at St. Michael’s.

*Congratulations to our St. Michael Academic Team! We placed 1st in the Diocese of Gary and 7th in the State.

*If anyone has video of either the pep rally or Christmas Program, please call the school office.

*Pictures of the following events would be greatly appreciated: Pep rally, Christmas Program, Western Night, St. Nick Story Hour, Little Elves, classroom parties, band concerts, mass, track team, Academic Team, etc. Please send pictures to the office for the yearbook. Our deadline is February 10th.

*If you move or change any of your phone numbers, extension at work, please let the office know.

*Grading period ends on January 13th. Report cards go home on January 21. Please sign report cards and return by Tuesday.

*We will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week starting on January 30th through February 4th. This year’s theme is “Catholic Schools: A+ for America”.

*Plan on attending our Open House on Wednesday, Feb. 2nd from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Invite any neighbors or friends to visit. Visit the classrooms and the school’s Book Fair held in the gym.

*Please remind your children that Open House is not a time to run in halls or gym. We have visitors in the building and behavior should respectful. No student is allowed without a parent or guardian.

Lastly, the faculty, Mrs. Butcher and I would like to “thank you” all for your very generous Christmas gifts. Your kindness was overwhelming.
