During this Easter Season, we recall the great love your Son, Jesus, had for us. By observing this season, may we grow in our love and faith.

*Grades 3-8 ISTEP results will be available May 25th. You will receive a pass word from the State of Indiana for accessing all your students results. It is very important that you print a copy of these for your files, especially in the junior high. These will be requested by high schools. The school will not be giving out copies of these results. It is your responsibility to keep this access code and files, the school does not have a copy of your password.

*First Holy Communion is May 2nd at 11:30 Mass. Practice is April 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the church. Pictures are April 24th at 9:30 for group picture, and individual pictures to follow. This will take place in the church.

*Remember to check the school’s main calendar on our school website on Sunday evenings. The calendar for 2010/2011 is posted.

*Many of your emails to teachers are answered by checking the website. Out of uniform, days off, etc. are all posted. Easter Monday is not a day off.

*When students are absent for several days, they are allowed three days to make up all their work, tests and quizzes.

*Birthday treats should be store bought, not home baked. Do not send in a treat with any peanut content without checking with the teacher.

*Students with a negative balance of $2.00 or more will not be served a hot lunch. Starting on May 1st students with any negative balance will not be served. Money in a student’s account at the end of the year will be carried over into the next school year.

*St. Michael School will be acquiring barricades that will be set up on the driveway by the old church and the cemetery on Mass days. NO CARS are allowed on the drive path while students are walking to and from church. This is for the safety of our students.

*Thank you to the families at St. Michael School for generously visiting Culvers in Schererville this past October which supported Team Maddy in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk 2009. St. Michael’s spent $500.00 which earned a $50.00 donation. Thank you from this family.
