Dear St. Michael Family:

As we begin the school year, it is important that each family understand their responsibility to complete service credit hours.  AS STATED IN YOUR ST. MICHAEL’S TUITION CONTRACT, ten (10) service credit hours are to be completed by June 1, 2010.  If you have a child graduating this year, your service hours MUST be completed by May 1st, 2010.

Any family that does not complete this requirement by June 1, 2010 will be assessed a fee of $400.00 or $40 per service hour not completed. Service Hours are NOT transferrable.

IN ORDER TO VOLUNTEER AT ANY SCHOOL FUNCTION (where children are present), YOU MUST BE VIRTUS TRAINED, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Service hours can be performed by ANY adult family member who has completed Virtus training (Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, or Grandparents are all acceptable and welcome). Each family is required to complete 10 total service hours from the categories listed below: (Please note that each Kindergarten family is required to complete 5 total service hours.)

Bingo -- a minimum of 2 hours

H.S.A. Events -- Minimum of 4 hours

• Fun Fair
• Little Elves Workshop---Wrap Night/Shopping Day
• Book Fair / Open House
• School Picnic
• Market Day
• Social Committee Events:  This includes Western Night, St. Nick's Night, Bowling, and Jr. High Dance
• Holiday Parties/Dances/Room Parent
• Passport To Our Heritage

                                               
Other Events -- 4 remaining hours can be any event listed above or other qualifying event listed below:

• Fashion Show
• CYO Coaching
• Recess Parent
• Lunch Room Parent
